HEALTH ROOM HIGHLIGHTS

  "Healthy Students Make Better Learners"

The Maryland Schools Record of Physical Examination form needs to be completed within nine months prior to entering the public school system or within six months after entering.  So new students including pre-K and kindergarteners to HCPSS have the above mentioned grace period. There are some students who have never turned one in and those students are the ones that need to turn them in to the HR with both the parent and physician parts completed ASAP.  They may also receive letters concerning specific health concerns that were found after reviewing their records. It is also important that they complete these in a timely manner as they recieve them (they will be coming home in backpacks over the next month).

The Lead Certificates for Pre-K, Kindergarten and First grade students need to be completed ASAP as well.  And of course, any serious health concern needs to be reported to us immediatly. (i.e.peanut/food allergies, asthma, heart conditions).

Thanks,
